Historically, many in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities have been outside the church - those parts of their lives that deal with sexuality and gender identity have been seen as unwelcome issues. My ministry, as a part of Recovering the Promise Ministries, is to openly and prayerfully attend to those human concerns while encouraging the view that the church can still be a place of holistic care and healing. By offering realtime and on-line social networking for GLBT Christians and seekers, we have a chance to build relationship and trust and work together to address issues that may otherwise cause/increase isolation from a worship community.
